Week 28 - Soft

A pile of "soft" fluffy balls! Ive reduced the clarity for a softer look too

Week 29 - Health

Another macro shot and this time an apple. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away"

Week 40 - Contrast
This was a shot taken in a cave. Going underground is a totally different experience for me plus how to process this type of shot. Anyway, lots of contrast!

Big catch up!

Ive been sooo very busy but have always had my Photo 52 project in the back of my mind. Some of these shots have been taken yonks ago, just not had the time to process them! So here goes:-

Week 27 - Low Down

You could say the shot should be taken from a low down aspect but I decided to have the subject matter low down instead...the road!

Week 23 - Satisfaction

Difficult subject but on a trip to NY I took this shot of post it notes from last New Years Eve in Times square. Peoples wishes etc for the year ahead. A satisfying read!

 Then week 26, Poverty. I really didnt want to resort to the obvious tramp but in the end I did!

Week 31 - Smoke & Mirrors

Not quite Smoke & Mirrors...just smoke!

 Week 33 - Dark

A discarded bottle. Dark processing

 Week 35 - Confusion. Taken in New Change building. A very confusing shot!

 Week 37 - Crowds. Of tourists at St Pauls

 Week 34 - Easy. Street signs in NY. A very easy place to get around

Week 39 - Highlight. These are lights in a ceiling, "high" lights!

Week 26 - Duo

Obvious isnt it? The duo being two No Parking signs!!

Week 25 - Texture

argh...an easy peasy theme! Somewhere along Southbank is a pile of green sieves (or colanders!)

Perfect for texture I thought! I love the bright colours

Week 24 Up!

Week 24's theme was Up. So I looked up and saw the vibrant colours of the yellow roof against the blue sky. I like the colors and the sharp angles.

Week 22 - Cranes in Love

Have been running a bit behind with my challenge!

This image is called "Cranes in Love" and fits the theme "Development"

Week 20 - Food

These soup cartons caught my eye whilst on a wander around the City. Shot through glass,Im pleased with the clarity and sharpness.  I like the stark white of the cartons with the lime green EAT!

Week 17 - Self

A reflection shot for this weeks theme. I like the wibbly wobbly reflection with the contrasting sharpness of the image on the right hand side

Week 19 - Grunge

A walkabout Shoreditch being trendy grunge I took this shot of some artwork and the rubbish bags. I think it fits the theme Grunge!

Week 18

A little behind with my photo a week project. In fact Ive slipped two weeks (Week 17 Self Portrait and Week 16 Poverty) as these need a bit more thought!
Onto week 18 with the theme "Exposed". Immediately thought of high key being over exposed then decided that was too obvious so a took this shot of a half naked organge!

Week 15 - Complex

Another trek around the house and I came across my sons toy flying helicopter. Complex machinery! Done.....macro lens got another trip out for this shot! Cropped in to get the diagonal sweep of red (I do like red in an image). Minimum processing too. Great!

Week 14 - History

Ive had this old old, (very old!) book of photographs from my mothers side of the family. Edwardian/Victorian days gone by! In amongst the pages is a photo of Queen Victoria. Perfect for this weeks History shot!

Week 13 - Out of Context

What a tricky theme.....reallt struggled with this. I had a kind of idea in my mind but in reality it didnt really work.It was going to be a plate, knife and fork with the daffodil being the "food". Who eats daffs? Anyway.....compositionally it just wasnt working so I shot this and it will have to do. The daffodil in place of the spoon. Nice lighting and Im pleased that there wasnt much processing to do on it, virtually straight from camera which is good!  Used my macro lens & tripod

Week 12 - Emotion

So Ive rediscovered my macro lens with my Week 12 Emotion shot. I had thought about making one of my children cry by nicking their sweets but not wishing to be labelled a bad mother I took this instead.....a lucky find in my collection of buttons! I enjoyed using my macro lens. Hadnt used it for ages. (nor my tripod!) This Photo 52 project is certainly getting me to use my camera and equipment!

Week 11 - Reflection

I had a new toy for Christmas (a girl can never have too many lenses) A Lensbaby Composer. I see this lens as being a bit of a toy really, fun, some cool effects but its so not easy to master!!  I decided to persevere with it and try to get that sweet spot sharp. Not a good success rate but this was my best out of about 10 last night just messing about in my kitchen. I really should of been cooking dinner but hey, this is ART  plus I love my Le Creuset saucepans!!

Week 10 - Hands

Week tens theme - Hands. I initially thought of taking a couple holding hands, zoom in to get a close up from a distance. Then I thought of cute little baby hands but dont know any babies LOL then other end of the scale, an old persons wrinkly hands but although Im old, my hands arent quite wrinkly enough! So......another mooch around Leicester Square at the weekend and M & M World! Cheating really isnt it!! No fancy processing, just cloned out a few lights to get that background all black.

Week 9 - Passion

ooh what a topic!! The obvious shots of roses or chocolates came to mind or perhaps a shot of some protestors camping at St Pauls! Anyway, a walk through Soho. Got be be some shots to take there!! Came across this shop window.....doesnt it look like a magazine cover! Had the wrong lens on though (70-200mm) and the street was narrow so the shot filled the frame completely and cut off the "S" in "Everything's" so I increased the canvas in photoshop and cloned it in. Not easy and not happy with it so dont look too close!

Week 8 - Linear

Had a walkabout in South Ken/Brompton today followed by a late lunch with my good friend. Heres a shot taken in the cemetary. HDR processing using CS4 and Photomatix Pro

Week 7 - Simple

Simple shot? A brick in a brick wall! Could be sharper though.....

Week 6 - Identity

My initial idea was a single thumbprint but on a walkabout in Leicester Square I took this shot
